LappVillage Cabins Christmas Itinerary 24th -27th December 2008

24 Dec, Wednesday - Christmas Eve
0730 depart UK, arrive Lapland 1300 local time (time difference 2 hours)
1430 Arrive at LappVillage cabins, collection of thermal overalls and boots en route to hotel. Check-in and lunch
1600 Short walk to Lapp Village where you will be welcomed buy the Shaman and participate in Lappish ceremony. Children will make ginger bread cookies and Christmas decorations and can join in tobogganing. We heard that Santa will still be in his cabin deep in the forest. Snowmobile ride followed by the short reindeer ride will take each family to see Santa, who will talk to children and read through their letters! Join in
traditional lighting of the candles in anticipation of Christmas.
1900 Traditional Finnish Christmas dinner at Humina restaurant. During the evening hopefully a special guest will come to see us before setting off with Rudolph on his long Christmas Eve journey around the world. After dinner, dressed warmly join the locals in Christmas carol singing or Christmas service in the nearby church.

25 Dec, Thursday - Christmas Day
0800-1000 Breakfast
After breakfast participate in a selection of activities on the nearby farm (short car/coach transfer), snow shoe walking, cross country skiing, children’s skidoos and snow fun activities.
1300-1500 Christmas Lunch in Humina restaurant (combination of traditional Finnish and international dishes)
1700 Depart for a husky dog farm where you will learn about the life of the huskies. Take part in a husky dog safari – 5km. You can also drive your own team of huskies. Coffee and warm juice with buns is served after the activity.
2000 Dinner at Kami restaurant just a few minutes walk from the cabins

26 Dec, Friday
0800-1000 Breakfast
Free time to spend with your family or alternatively take an optional excursion. These can be pre-booked (recommended) or arranged in the resort with Magic of Lapland representative.
1300-1400 Lunch
1400 Depart for the Snowmobile safari through unspoilt Lappish wilderness. Adults share one snowmobile. Children are pulled in sleighs behind. Stop in the forest to BBQ sausages on open fire and warm up with the tea, coffee and warm juice.
1900 Dinner at Kami restaurant few meters away from LappVillage cabins

27 Dec, Saturday
0800-1000 Breakfast
1200 Check-out and departure for the airport for your flight back home. On the way to the airport we make a short stop for the souvenir shopping
1400 Return flight home
1530 Arrive in UK
