The Concept
Day breaks to Lapland are a way of sampling the Lappish wilderness and Arctic safaris in just one day. Our Lapland day breaks are based in a wilderness location in the Yllas area of Lapland and operate in groups of a maximum of 90 clients on the day with each family having a guaranteed private audience with Santa in his cabin. The day breaks are set in an uncommercialised, wilderness area and are for the sole use of Magic of Lapland clients, with the electricity only in the log cabin where food is served. The surrounding forest, activity areas and snow paths are lit with candles and log fires as we we aim to create an authentic atmosphere and experience of Lapland at its best.

Lapland Festive Day Break - Detailed Flow of the Day
Check-in at London Gatwick is supervised by a Magic of Lapland representative. At check-in boarding passes are issued for the return flight. Please keep them safe as you will need to show them at Kittila airport in Lapland before boarding the aircraft. Seats are assigned and clients are pre-seated in the same seats for the outbound and inbound flight. Please always occupy the same seat on the return flight as on outbound flight. All our flights to and from Lapland are escorted by a Magic of Lapland representative.
On arrival to Lapland our Lappish colleagues greet clients and ensure a prompt exit from the airport. Thermal clothing is collected from a safari house en route to the Magic Forest (transfer time between airport and thermal clothing collection point in approx. 35 mins, and a further 10 mins to the Magic Forest itself). Any jackets, shoes etc that is not required once thermal clothing is collected can be stored in the safari house. It is strongly recommended that any valuables, wallets and passports are kept with you at all times.
After the collection of thermal clothing there is a quick transfer to the wilderness setting for the Lapland day break, the Magic Forest. There are a selection of activities to be sampled in the Magic Forest - husky dog ride, snowmobile ride, reindeer ride to Santa's cabin, snowshoe walking, tandem skiing, children's snowmobiles, make gingerbread cookies and Christmas decorations indoors,BBQ sausages on an open fire outside and more. A simple lunch (vegetable creamy soup and breads), hot drinks and coffee are served throughout the day. A small selection of traditional Lappish souvenirs are available to buy. Each family is also guaranteed a private visit to Santa and each child is given a small soft toy as a gift. Each visit to Santa is scheduled and clients are given an exact time at which they are to meet him which eliminates queueing.
Letters to Santa
Children's letters to Santa can be sent to Magic of Lapland and we arrange that these are delivered to Lapland in time for your visit. Alternatively, clients can bring the letters to Lapland and pass these to our Lappish colleagues or a Magic of Lapland representative upon arrival in Lapland.

Testimonials:
"My daughter thought Santa was enchanting and I have never seen her spellbound. He was absolutely magical and it has made Christmas come early to our hearts and our homes. The 'Magic of Lapland ' reps were extremely nice and helpful as well as the people on the farm we were taken to"
"Just to say a big thank you - we had a wonderful time on Saturday - the kids thought it was all so awesome, and hearing my 8 year old daughter turn to her 5 year old brother on coming out of Santa's hut and saying "That was the REAL Father Christmas you know" to which he very softly replied "I know" - priceless!..."
