Magic of Lapland : LappVillage Short Break Itinerary

Day 1
0800-1400 (2 hour time difference) you fly out to Kittila accompanied with our representative. Coach transfer to LappVillage in Akaslompolo (approximately 50 mins). On arrival to Akaslompolo collection of thermal clothing. You will be allocated you cabin (Malla, Mella, Salla, Saana) at the time of booking confirmation and on arrival taken directly to your cabin. Lunch at Poro resaturant in LappVillage.
1730 - Depart for a husky dog farm for a husky dog safari. Coffee and warm juice with pancakes is served after the activity
2030 - Welcome drinks and dinner at Poro resaturant in LappVillage

Day 2
0700 - 1000 Breakfast in the cabin
1030 - A day in LappVillage. Arctic and snow activities with artic circle ceremony, tandem skiing, snowshoe walking, kick sledging, tobogganing and children's snowmobiling. Make gingerbread cookies and Christmas decorations. Lunch is served throughout the day. Snowmobile and reindeer ride in the search for Santa's cabin. Individual family visit to Santa.
1930 - We take you to Yllasjarvi, a small village 13 km from Akaslompolo for a festive dinner in traditional Lappish kota (tepee), traditional dishes cooked on open fire in front of the guests.

Day 3
0700 - 1000 Breakfast in the cabin
1000 - 1200 Time for more snow fun activities at LappVillage - snowshoe walking, tobogganing, kick sledging, children snowmobiling

Optional Excursions Available at Extra Cost

Husky Farm Visit and Sleigh Safari - visit to a farm with Alaskan and Siberian huskies. Take a 9km ride, learn to steer the sleigh. Hear about the life of husky dogs. Duration: 2.5 hours Price: Adult £ 85, Child £ 60.

Snow Shoe Trip - walk through the forest in snow shoes as the ancient Finns did on wooden skiis. Walk through snowy forest for 3 km. Stop for hot drinks on an open fire. Duration: 2.5 hour Price: Adult/Child: £ 35

Ice Fishing - Having drilled a hole in the ice sit back with hot drink and wait to see who brings in the best catch. Duration: 2 hours Price: Adult/Child £ 27

Cross Country Skiing School for Families - Learn basic cross country skiing techniques and head out on a short trip on maintained ski tracks Duration: 2 hoours Price: Adult/Child £ 35

1200-1300 Check out - lunch at Poro restaurant
1400 Depart for a 3 hour winter wonderland snowmobile safari with a stop for warm juice, coffee and ginger bread cookies. Adults can drive their own snowmobiles through the Lappish countryside and forests, whilst children and those who do not wish to drive are pulled behind in sleighs.
1900 Festive dinner
Day 4
0800-1000 Breakfast and Checkout, return of thermal overalls
1130 Depart for airport
1400 Return flight to UK
1530 Arrive UK

1) Please note that itinerary and times may vary to fit local conditions.
2) 3 day short break departing on the 5th and 19th Dec is same as above with the exception being that check-out is on day 3 at 1300 and flight back to UK at 2000.
