Magic of Lapland : Yllasrinne Lapland Short Break Itinerary

Day 1
0800-1400 (2 hours time difference) you fly out to Kittila accompanied with our representative. Coach transfer to Yllasrinne hotel and cabins in Yllasjarvi (approximately 50 mins). Check-in. Collection of thermal clothing in hotel. Lunch.
1730 Depart for a husky dog farm where you will learn about the lives of the huskies and drive your own team of huskies through the wintry Lappish countryside (3km)
2000 Meet for welcome drinks
2030 Dinner at hotel.

Day 2
0800 - 1000 Breakfast
1000 Depart for a reindeer farm where a 45 minute reindeer ride will take you through the snowy forest to a reindeer herders' cabin. Join in tandem skiing, snow shoe walking and tobogganing. Children make Christmas decorations with the elves. Meet Santa on an individual family basis in his cabin in the forest where he has stopped for a rest. Santa reads children's letters and gives them each a small soft toy gift. A simple Lappish lunch is served on the farm.
On the way back to the hotel stop for souvenir shopping. Arrive hotel at approximately 1600.

Day 3
0800 - 1000 Breakfast
Morning free
1200 – 1300 Lunch
1400 Depart for a 3 hour winter wonderland snowmobile safari with a stop for warm juice, coffee and ginger bread cookies. Adults can drive their own snowmobiles through the Lappish countryside and forests, whilst children and those who do not wish to drive are pulled behind in sleighs.
1900 Festive dinner

Day 4
0800-1000 Breakfast and Checkout, return of thermal overalls
1130 Depart for airport
1400 Return flight to UK
1530 Arrive UK

Optional Excursions Available at Extra Cost (available during free morning during Day 3)
Husky Farm Visit and Sleigh Safari - visit to a farm with Alaskan and Siberian huskies. Take a 9km ride, learn to steer the sleigh. Hear about the life of husky dogs. Duration: 2.5 hours Price: Adult £ 85, Child £ 60.

Snow Shoe Trip - walk through the forest in snow shoes as the ancient Finns did on wooden skiis. Walk through snowy forest for 3 km. Stop for hot drinks on an open fire. Duration: 2.5 hour Price: Adult/Child: £ 35

2) 3 day short break departing on the 5th and 19th Dec is same as above with the exception being that check-out is on day 3 at 1300 and flight back to UK at 2000.
