Yllashumina Lapland Itinerary :

Day 1
0800-1400 (time difference) you fly out to Kittila accompanied with Magic of Lapland representative. Transfer to Akaslompolo (approximately 50 mins). On arrival you collect your thermal clothing and are transferred.to Yllashumina Hotel. Lunch at the hotel.
1730 Transfer to a husky dog farm for a husky dog safari (5km). Coffee and warm juice with pancakes are served after the activity
2000 Meet for welcome drinks
2030 Dinner at hotel.

Day 2
0700 - 1000 Breakfast
1030 Transfer to Lapp Village for a day full of activities with artic circle ceremony, snow fun - tandem skiing, snowshoe walking, kick sledging, tobogganing and children's snowmobiling. Make gingerbread cookies and Christmas decorations. Lunch is served throughout the day. Snowmobile and reindeer ride in the search for Santa's cabin. INDIVIDUAL family visit to Santa.
1930 Festive dinner at Yllashumina restaurant.

Day 3
0700 - 1000 Breakfast
Morning free
1300 Lunch at hotel
1400 Snowmobile safari through unspoilt Lappish wilderness. Children are pulled in the sleighs behind the snowmobiles. With 25 km to conquer we stop in the forest for warm drinks and Sausage BBQ. As there are two adults per snowmobile, drivers can swap after the stop.
1900 Festive Dinner

Day 4
0800-1000 Breakfast and Checkout, return of thermal overalls
1130 Depart for airport
1400 Return flight to UK
1530 Arrive UK

Optional Excursions Available at Extra Cost (available during free morning on Day 3)
Husky Farm Visit and Sleigh Safari - visit to a farm with Alaskan and Siberian huskies. Take a 9km ride, learn to steer the sleigh. Hear about the life of husky dogs. Duration: 2.5 hours Price: Adult £ 85, Child £ 60.

Snow Shoe Trip - walk through the forest in snow shoes as the ancient Finns did on wooden skiis. Walk through snowy forest for 3 km. Stop for hot drinks on an open fire. Duration: 2.5 hour Price: Adult/Child: £ 35

Ice Fishing - Having drilled a hole in the ice sit back with hot drink and wait to see who brings in the best catch. Duration: 2 hours Price: Adult/Child £ 27

Cross Country Skiing School for Families - Learn basic cross country skiing techniques and head out on a short trip on maintained ski tracks Duration: 2 hoours Price: Adult/Child £ 35

1) Please note that itinerary and times may vary to fit local conditions.
2) 3 day short break departing on the 5th and 19th Dec is same as above with the exception being that check-out is on day 3 at 1300 and flight back to UK at 2000.
