Set in the peaceful village of Äkäslompolo, Riekko Lodge offers a warm and welcoming base for families who want to enjoy Lapland in comfort while staying close to the surrounding wilderness. Accommodation is arranged across cosy one-bedroom Kukas cabins and larger two-bedroom Äkäs cabins, many with additional mezzanine sleeping areas, giving families their own private space to relax after a day outdoors.
Meals are served in the lodge’s bistro, creating an easy and sociable rhythm to each day without the need to cook. Activities take place in small groups, with some experiences nearby and others at Jänkä Ranch, just a short transfer away. With dining, transfers and a carefully planned programme all taken care of, Riekko Lodge offers a relaxed and atmospheric way to experience Lapland.

Discover Jänkä Ranch from January to April, with breaks available for both adults and families. From February onwards, the days grow longer, bringing increased sunlight, sparkling snow and beautiful opportunities to enjoy Lapland beneath clear blue skies. Husky and reindeer safaris, snowmobile adventures and horse-drawn sleigh rides can be combined with excellent downhill and cross-country skiing for an active winter escape. Whether you are travelling as a couple, with friends or as a family, this is a wonderful time to experience the Arctic.
