Nestled in a valley surrounded by 7 fells, the village of Äkäslompolo is home to 400 residents 200km north of the Arctic Circle. Located on the doorstep of the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, Finland’s third largest national park, Äkäslompolo is enveloped by breath-taking scenery and is the perfect setting for Arctic adventure.
The Arctic Break is designed for adults offering longer safaris in groups of 6 to 8 persons. Search for the Northern Lights, ride into the National Forest with snowmobiles, mush your own team of huskies over 20km and try one of Finland’s favourite pastimes – cross country skiing. In December we offer this break with our direct flights with British Airways from London Gatwick. You can also step into the wild between January and April.

The small and privately owned Lodge 67̊N is a beautifully decorated hotel, a short walk from the village centre and within 10-15 minutes of all activities. Lodge 67̊N is the prefect base to come back to after a day out in the Arctic North, where you can relax by the fire and wait for the Northern Lights to appear over the fells.
